CHAIRMAN OF THE BOARD
Jacob has over 30 years of experience in semiconductors and EDA. During his executive career he’s raised several rounds of financing in challenging financial environments, invented and established a royalty-based business model, negotiated multi-million dollar strategic partnerships, and orchestrated mergers and acquisitions. He served as President and CEO at Blaze DFM, Forte Design Systems, and SCS Corporation, and held senior managerial and engineering positions at Xilinx, Cadence, and Ericsson among others. Jacob holds an M.S. degree in Computer Science and Electrical Engineering from the Royal Institute of Technology in Stockholm, Sweden and is fluent in Swedish, English, Russian, and German.

Yorgos co-founded and infused Helic with the vision to create a cutting-edge technology company with a global reach. Under his leadership, Helic raised multiple rounds of financing from institutional investors and venture capital firms and grew its clientele by winning the biggest semiconductor accounts. Yorgos is an active member of international technical committees and associations. He plays an instrumental role in promoting innovative Greek firms in Silicon Valley and beyond through initiatives he co-founded including the Hellenic Semiconductor Industry Association. He holds a Ph.D. in Electrical & Computer Engineering from the National Technical University of Athens and has attended executive courses in Harvard and London Business Schools in leadership and marketing.
John is an executive Director of SFS Group and has over 20 years of experience in finance and venture capital. He joined SFS in 1996 with responsibilities that included asset management, venture capital, private equity, risk management and strategic planning. John is a member of the UK’s Strategic Planning Society and Institute of Directors. He is certified in Cyprus as head of an investment firm’s departments for underwriting and customer portfolio management. He studied in Australia and holds a B.E. (Hons) and Ph.D. in Chemical Engineering, an M.B.A., and a Graduate Diploma in Applied Finance and Investments.
VICE PRESIDENT, MARKETING
Magdy is an internationally recognized EDA and design technology expert. Elected an IEEE fellow for contributions to the test and verification of microprocessors, Magdy has 10 patents issued with several more filed. He founded and chaired a series of workshops on microprocessor test and verification and on the economics of design, test, and manufacturing. Magdy published over 300 technical papers, with four receiving best paper awards. Previously, Magdy was group manager for EDA tools and methodology at Motorola’s high-performance design group. At Freescale, he managed EDA and IP relationships and helped shape strategic goals. An adjunct faculty at the University of Texas at Austin, Magdy holds a Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Southern California.
