Helic Appoints Tom Flynn as Vice President of Sales
February 27, 2018
Helic, Inc., an industry-leading provider of electromagnetic crosstalk solutions has appointed Tom Flynn to the executive management team as the Vice President of Sales. Tom brings more than 18 years of global sales leadership in the electronic design automation (EDA) industry. Most notably, Tom led Ansoft’s global sales team for over a decade, tripling sales as he drove the company’s creation of new markets for signal-and power-integrity simulation through strategic partnerships with companies like Intel, Xilinx,TSMC, Samsung, MediaTek, HP, NEC, and others.
Throughout his tenure in EDA, Tom led the adoption of novel, high-value tools for accurate, 3D modeling of complex structures and coupled this with excellent technical support at a global level. This focus helped drive success at Coventor, now LAM Research and CLKDA, now ANSYS. Tom brings this same customer-centric approach to Helic. “Tom’s management and sales expertise will provide Helic with invaluable insights going forward,” said Yorgos Koutsoyannopoulos, Helic President and CEO. “We look forward to working with Tom to strengthen and grow our customer relationships and to drive the creation of new markets worldwide.”
“I’m excited to join Helic at a time when delivering solutions for electromagnetic crosstalk problems at the SOC level has never been more vital, and I look forward to leading the company’s worldwide sales efforts to cement Helic’s position as the lead EDA provider of electromagnetic crosstalk and signoff solutions,” Flynn said.
Tom holds a Bachelor of Science in Electrical Engineering with focused studies in microwave engineering and computer graphics from the University of Massachusetts. He’s been an active member of Big Brothers for over 25 years and has been featured as a keynote speaker and panelist in technical symposiums around the globe.
Helic develops and markets electronic design automation (EDA) software that mitigates the risk of electromagnetic crosstalk in high-speed, low-power System on Chip (SoC) and analog/RF designs. The company’s electromagnetic (EM) crosstalk analysis and sign-off tools are built on its proprietary “model everything” technology, along with the industry’s largest capacity, highly accurate and most efficient engine to solve the growing challenges of EM crosstalk coupling. Since 2000, its cutting-edge technology has enabled engineers to synthesize inductive devices and model electromagnetic and parasitic phenomena with accuracy, speed and seamless design flow interoperability. Today, Helic tools are used by SoC design teams, as well as analog/RF designers. Helic’s customer list includes many of the top-10 semiconductor companies who drive key market segments such as wireless communications, Internet of Things (IoT), computing, automotive, big data, and high-speed networking.
